National Stitch Day -Butterfly Garden.

Butterfly Garden.
We had a lovely time stitching  butterflies at The Library of Birmingham. 16 members and 2 visitors stitched felt butterflies for a flower garden.
When one of our members, Sheila Yates, died, the branch got some pieces made by her and by Lily Waldron. Lily was a founder member of the branch and very active until she died a few years ago.
Among the things that we got from Sheila, was a large assortment of machine embroidered flowers that Lily had made.
Margaret Richards made these into a garden hanging to put our butterflies on.
Everyone did their own thing with the butterflies and they all look great on the garden hanging.
There is lots more scope to add more butterflies so if you want to contribute then please do, there will be butterflies available at the next meeting and at future library days.
